In Friday's non-league test, the visiting Philip Simmons Iron Horses volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals.

With the win, Philip Simmons improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Iron Horses travel to Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC) to face the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Indians go into the test with a record of 0-1. Westminster Catawba Christian lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Walnut Grove Christian (Fort Mill, SC)

The Cardinals now own a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to A.C. Reynolds for a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. Cornerstone Charter will face a Rockets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 0-2.
