The Garland Owls volleyball squad (Garland, TX), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX)

With the win, Montwood improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Rams travel to The Colony (The Colony, TX) to meet the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 15. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. The Colony won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Anna (Anna, TX)

Next, the Owls meet the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. Garland will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Wimberley (Wimberley, TX).
