Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) and the visiting Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX), observed McKinney's volleyball team top Iowa Colony by a tally of 2-0.

The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Summer Creek was defeated by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Pioneers now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seguin for a non-league test on Friday, August 15. Iowa Colony will meet a Matadors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ridge Point (Missouri City, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 2-1.
