In Friday's non-league match, the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) volleyball squad overcame the host Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Chargers battle the Laredo LBJ Wolves (Laredo, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, August 19. Veterans Memorial will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Harlandale (San Antonio, TX).
