Ohio High School Soccer - Memorial knocks off Central Catholic
August 16, 2022: Toledo, OH 43608 The Central Catholic Fighting Irish soccer team (Toledo, OH), was overwhelmed 9-2 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting Memorial Roughriders (St. Marys, OH)
With the win, Memorial advances its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Liberty-Benton (Findlay, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 18. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Fighting Irish play the Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 20. Central Catholic will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.

A ?strong showing in our season opener, for the 19 roughriders who saw time on the pitch. Two sets of hat tricks by the Holtzapple brothers, led the path for the scoring frenzy- with additional goals by Birt, Chapman and R Triplett. Craft, Ruppert, B Triplett, Q Holtzapple and Dieringer all helped with the assists.
