Georgia High School Football - Westwood trounces John Hancock Academy
August 16, 2024: Camilla, GA 31730 In Friday's non-league match, the host Westwood Wildcats football squad scored a decisive 46-8 triumph over the John Hancock Academy Rebels.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their match against St. Mary's Academy (Fairburn, GA). The Bobcats go into the GIAA 8-Man Region 1 (8 Man) battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, St. Mary's Academy was crushed by Westminster Christian Academy (Watkinsville, GA), 32-0, in a non-league battle.
The Rebels now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Fullington Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, August 23. John Hancock Academy will play a Trojans team coming off a 46-24 league win over Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
