Georgia High School Softball - Westminster can't hold off Long County
August 16, 2025: Atlanta, GA 30327 The Long County Blue Tide softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Westminster Wildcats to 3 in the Blue Tide non-league win on Saturday.
The Blue Tide now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bryan County for a non-league battle on Monday, August 18. Long County will confront a Redskins team coming off a 5-4 league loss to Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 3-4.
The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Kell (Marietta, GA). The Longhorns go into the 4A Region 6 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Kell held off Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA), 7-1, in a non-league challenge.
