August 16, 2025: Rosenberg, TX 77471 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Caney Creek Panthers (Conroe, TX) and the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), observed Caney Creek's volleyball team hold off Lamar Consolidated by a count of 2-1.
The Panthers (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against Willis (Willis, TX). The Wildkats go into the 6A Region II District 13 battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Willis tipped Klein (Klein, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Bend Dulles for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 19. Lamar Consolidated will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Caney Creek (Conroe, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 3-2.
