August 17, 2023: Lexington, KY 40507 The Sayre Spartans topped the visiting George Rogers Clark Cardinals volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wolfe County for a non-league test on Friday, August 18. Sayre will confront a Wolves team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Madison Southern (Berea, KY). The Wolves record now stands at 2-0.
The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Madison Southern (Berea, KY). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Madison Southern dropped by Tates Creek (Lexington, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
