August 17, 2024: Dexter, GA 31019 West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA), 2-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, West Laurens improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Raiders host Howard (Macon, GA) to face the Huskies in a 3A Region 4 game on Thursday, August 22. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 1-7.
The Yellowjackets now hold a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Toombs County for a non-league game on Saturday, August 17. Jeff Davis will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-0.
