August 17, 2024: Eatonton, GA 31024 The Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) volleyball were victorious over the host Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Fightin' Irish now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Westside for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 17. Aquinas will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Davidson Fine Arts (Augusta, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Putnam County drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The War eagles host Southwest (Macon, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a 1A Area 2 bout on Tuesday, August 20. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Southwest lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Northeast (Macon, GA)
