The Porterville Panthers (Porterville, CA) football defeated the visiting McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 26-9 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers face the South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 25. Porterville will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 32-8 non-league win over Wasco (Wasco, CA).

The Highlanders (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Mendota (Mendota, CA). The Aztecs enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Mendota was toppled by Liberty (Madera, CA), 24-17, in a non-league bout.
