August 18, 2023: Cookeville, TN 38501 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cookeville Cavaliers (Cookeville, TN) and the visiting Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA), saw Cookeville's volleyball squad nip Jonesboro by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Cookeville upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Greeneville (Greeneville, TN) to play the Greene Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. The Greene Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Greeneville lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Rhea County (Evensville, TN)
The Cardinals now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rhea County for a non-league bout on Friday, August 18. Jonesboro will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
