August 18, 2023: Lexington, KY 40507 The Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) volleyball overcame the visiting Walden Wolverines (Louisville, KY), 2-0 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Sayre upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Spartans host Henry Clay (Lexington, KY) to face the Blue Devils in a District 42 outing on Monday, August 21. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Henry Clay won 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY)
The Wolverines now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Parker for a non-league outing on Monday, August 21. Walden will face a Wyverns squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Valley (Louisville, KY). The Wyverns record now stands at 0-2.
