August 18, 2025: Hudson, NC 28638 The Ashe County Huskies soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host South Caldwell Spartans to 2 in the Huskies non-league victory on Monday.
The Huskies now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander Central for a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 20. Ashe County will play a Cougars squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Hibriten edged Watauga (Boone, NC), 7-6, in a non-league game.
