Georgia High School Softball - Jefferson bounces Alcovy
August 18, 2025: Jefferson, GA 30549 The crowd at Monday's non-league contest between the Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) and the visiting Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), saw Jefferson's softball squad beat Alcovy by a score of 16-0.
With the triumph, Jefferson improves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Dragons host Monroe Area (Monroe, GA) to face the Purple Hurricanes in a 3A Region 8 contest on Thursday, August 21. The Purple Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Monroe Area won 14-0 in their recent league bout against East Hall (Gainesville, GA)
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Loganville Red Devils (Loganville, GA) in a 5A Region 8 contest, on Tuesday, August 19. Alcovy will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Red Devils come into the match with a 5-0 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Collins Hill (Suwanee, GA).
