North Carolina High School Soccer - Christ School held off by Providence Day
August 19, 2022: Arden, NC 28704 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC) and the host Christ School Greenies (Arden, NC), saw Providence Day's soccer squad get by Christ School by a margin of 2-1.
The Chargers now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Carmel Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 23. Providence Day will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Victory FC (Monroe, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Christ School drops to 0-2 on the season. The Greenies travel to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, August 22. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-1. East Henderson lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)
