The West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) football defeated the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 28-19 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 25. West Charlotte will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Redhawks enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 56-0 non-league win over Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
