Kentucky High School Soccer - Montgomery County knocks off Boyd County
August 19, 2023: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians confront the Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) in a District 39 challenge, on Monday, August 21. Montgomery County will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over St. Patrick (Maysville, KY).
The Lions now possess a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Russell for a District 63 outing on Tuesday, August 22. Boyd County will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over South Laurel (London, KY). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-1.
