Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 22. Ripley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Big Blacks come into the test with a 0-0 record after their 2-2 non-league Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).

With the loss, South Charleston drops to 0-2 on the season. The Black eagles host Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to meet the Knights in a Mountain State test on Tuesday, August 22. The Knights come into the test with a record of 2-0. Cabell Midland won 4-1 in their recent league test against Princeton (Princeton, WV)
