The Vela Sabercats volleyball team (Edinburg, TX), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX)

With the win, MacArthur upgrades its record to 12-6 on the year. The Brahmas travel to Randolph (Universal City, TX) to play the Ro-Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. The Ro-Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Randolph lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Cuero (Cuero, TX)

The Sabercats now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cuero for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. Vela will play a Gobblers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sam Houston (San Antonio, TX). The Gobblers record now stands at 9-5.
