August 19, 2023: Nixon, TX 78140 The McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX) volleyball overcame the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, McMullen County betters its record to 8-3 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Falls City (Falls City, TX) to face the Beavers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 1. The Beavers go into the outing with a record of 10-6.
The Mustangs now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Yorktown for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 19. Nixon-Smiley will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ganado (Ganado, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-6.
