August 20, 2021: Wadesboro, NC 28170

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptor football squad scored a close 34-27 victory over the Anson Bearcats.

In their next game, the Raptor clash with the Cabarrus Stallions Stallions (Kannapolis, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 27. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Stallions enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to North Wake Saints (Wake Forest, NC).

The Bearcats (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Pinecrest held off Rolesville (Rolesville, NC), 40-36, in a non-league match.
