Ohio High School Soccer - St. Ignatius knocks off Avon Lake
August 20, 2022: Cleveland, OH 44113 St. Ignatius Wildcats (Cleveland, OH) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats confront the Twinsburg Tigers (Twinsburg, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 23. St. Ignatius will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Solon (Solon, OH).
The Shoremen now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Vincent-St. Mary for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 23. Avon Lake will confront a Fighting Irish team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Keystone (La Grange, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 2-0.
