August 20, 2022: Walnut Grove, GA 30052 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) and the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), witnessed Pope's softball squad tip Walnut Grove by a count of 3-0.
The Greyhounds now sport a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Johns Creek for a 6A Region 7 match on Tuesday, August 23. Pope will meet a Gladiators squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA). The Gladiators record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Walnut Grove moves to 5-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Parkview (Lilburn, GA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, August 20. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 4-2. Parkview won 9-8 in their recent league match against Grayson (Loganville, GA)
