The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) and the host Aubrey Chaparrals (Aubrey, TX), saw Alvin's volleyball squad beat Aubrey by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Alvin upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 20. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-3.

The Chaparrals now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Farmersville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 23. Aubrey will play a Farmers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX). The Farmers record now stands at 19-1.
