In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting McKinney Lions volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Heritage Coyotes.

The Lions (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Frenship nudged Austin (Austin, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Coyotes encounter the Little Elm Lobos (Little Elm, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 23. Heritage will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Lobos come into the battle with a 6-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Melissa (Melissa, TX).
