The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI) and the host Utica Ford Falcons (Sterling Heights, MI), saw Imlay City's volleyball squad nip Utica Ford by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Imlay City upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Brighton (Brighton, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Falcons now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stoney Creek for a non-league bout on Sunday, August 21. Utica Ford will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Rochester (Rochester Hills, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.
