North Carolina High School Soccer - Leesville Road knocks off Pinecrest
August 20, 2024: Southern Pines, NC 28387 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Leesville Road Pride (Raleigh, NC) and the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), saw Leesville Road's soccer squad triumph over Pinecrest by a count of 6-1.
The Pride (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Catamounts enter the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Panther Creek was overwhelmed by Broughton (Raleigh, NC), 8-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Patriots confront the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 22. Pinecrest will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC).
