Michigan High School Soccer - Huron holds off Melvindale
August 20, 2025: New Boston, MI 48164 Huron Chiefs (New Boston, MI) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Huron moves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI) to clash with the Rams in a Huron test on Friday, August 22. The Rams come into the test with a record of 1-1. Flat Rock won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Dundee (Dundee, MI)
The Cardinals now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edsel Ford for a Downriver outing on Friday, August 22. Melvindale will confront a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-1.
