West Jessamine Colts (Nicholasville, KY) fans were content Saturday as they witnessed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), 2-1 in a non-league battle.

The Colts (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, KY). The Titans go into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Trinity Christian Academy nipped St. Patrick (Maysville, KY), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.

The Briar Jumpers now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 26. Somerset will face a Admirals team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Berea (Berea, KY). The Admirals record now stands at 3-1.
