The St. Thomas More Sabers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders to 0 in the Sabers non-league victory on Monday.

The Sabers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Champaign Central for a non-league game on Thursday, August 24. St. Thomas More will meet a Maroons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 0-1.

The Conquering Riders (0-1) will now prepare for their game against DeLand-Weldon (DeLand, IL). The Eagles enter the East Central Illinois game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, DeLand-Weldon defeated Calvary Christian Academy (Normal, IL), 2-1, in a league game.
