California High School Football - Otay Ranch thwarted by Mt. Carmel
August 21, 2024: San Diego, CA 92129 Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 33-21 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mt. Carmel improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Sundevils travel to San Marcos (San Marcos, CA) to play the Knights in a battle on Thursday, October 10. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 1-0.
The Mustangs now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Point Loma for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Otay Ranch will play a Pointers team coming off a 14-7 non-league win over Del Norte (San Diego, CA). The Pointers record now stands at 1-0.
