Ohio High School Football - Hoover sneaks past Buchtel
August 21, 2025: Akron, OH 44320 The Hoover Vikings football squad scored 22 points and limited the host Buchtel Griffins to 16 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Medina for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. Hoover will face a Battling Bees team coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Stow-Munroe Falls (Stow, OH). The Battling Bees record now stands at 1-0.
The Griffins (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harding (Warren, OH). The Raiders come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Harding edged McKinley (Canton, OH), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
