In Thursday's non-league match, the host Costa Mesa Mustangs flag football squad scored a decisive 59-0 triumph over the Whitney Wildcats.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Los Amigos (Fountain Valley, CA). The Lobos come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Los Amigos was ripped by Orange (Orange, CA), 14-0, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Magnolia for a non-league battle on Monday, August 25. Whitney will play a Sentinels team coming off a 49-12 non-league loss to Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove, CA). The Sentinels record now stands at 0-2.
