North Carolina High School Football - Broughton sneaks past Apex Friendship
August 21, 2025: Apex, NC 27502 The Broughton Capitals football squad scored 21 points and limited the host Apex Friendship Patriots to 14 in the Capitals non-league win on Thursday.
In their next game, the Capitals face the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 27. Broughton will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Gators enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 39-32 non-league loss to Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC).
The Patriots (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Lee County was edged by Hunt (Wilson, NC), 22-12, in a non-league challenge.
