The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Hibriten will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 36-0 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, East Wilkes drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to meet the Granite Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 28. The Granite Bears enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mount Airy won 50-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
