The West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) football were winner over the visiting South Garner Titans (Garner, NC), 16-6 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smithfield-Selma for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 28. West Johnston will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 33-20 non-league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, South Garner drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 28.
