August 21, 2025: Lexington, KY 40507 Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), 3-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Scott County moves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY) to clash with the Colts in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. The Colts come into the test with a record of 4-1. West Jessamine 2-2 in their recent non-league outing against Cooper (Union, KY)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 23. Sayre will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Tates Creek (Lexington, KY).
