August 21, 2025: Williamsburg, KY 40769 The South Laurel Cardinals soccer squad scored 3 points and held the host Whitley County Colonels to 2 in the Cardinals league victory on Thursday.
The Cardinals now hold a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Powell County for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23. South Laurel will play a Pirates squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Whitley County moves to 5-2 on the year. The Colonels host Lincoln County (Stanford, KY) to face the Patriots in a non-league game on Thursday, August 28.
