Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Guyer Wildcats (Denton, TX) and the host Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX), observed Guyer's volleyball team hold off Granbury by a tally of 2-1.

The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Mansfield Timberview was tipped by Canutillo (Canutillo, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Pirates meet the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 21. Granbury will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX).
