The Bulldogs now hold a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hudson for a non-league match on Thursday, August 21. Iola will confront a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Little Cypress-Mauriceville drops to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 21. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Coldspring-Oakhurst won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Shepherd (Shepherd, TX)
