California High School Volleyball - Mt. Carmel overwhelmed by Point Loma
August 21, 2025: San Diego, CA 92129 Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Point Loma advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Pointers travel to La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA) to face the Torreys in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. The Torreys come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. La Jolla Country Day won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Christian (El Cajon, CA)
Next, the Sundevils play the Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 22. Mt. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over La Quinta (La Quinta, CA).
