Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Golden Demons (Golden, CO), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Collins for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. Chaparral will face a Lambkins squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Greeley West (Greeley, CO). The Lambkins record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Golden falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Dakota Ridge (Littleton, CO) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 23. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Dakota Ridge lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Highlands Ranch (Highlands Ranch, CO)
