August 22, 2023: Mayfield, KY 42066 The Mayfield Cardinals volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Caldwell County Tigers to 0 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carlisle County for a non-league game on Thursday, August 24. Mayfield will meet a Comets team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to St. Mary (Paducah, KY). The Comets record now stands at 0-3.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Madisonville-North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY). The Maroons enter the District 7 game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Madisonville-North Hopkins defeated Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY), 2-0, in a non-league game.
