California High School Football - Rio Mesa thwarted by Moorpark
August 22, 2024: Moorpark, CA 93021 Moorpark Musketeers (Moorpark, CA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 31-12 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Moorpark improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Musketeers host Centennial (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. The Golden Hawks go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Centennial lost 28-8 in their recent non-league battle against Redwood (Visalia, CA)
The Spartans now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Camarillo for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Rio Mesa will play a Scorpions team coming off a 18-12 non-league win over Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA). The Scorpions record now stands at 1-0.
