Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Reagan Raiders (Pfafftown, NC), 17-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Marvin Ridge advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to play the Titans in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Hopewell lost 33-6 in their recent non-league battle against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)

The Raiders now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Mooresville for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Reagan will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 20-12 non-league loss to Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
