August 22, 2024: Water Valley, MS 38965 South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, South Pontotoc advances its record to 7-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS) to face the Vikings in a Class 4A Region 2 test on Saturday, August 24. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 0-4. North Pontotoc lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against East Union (Blue Springs, MS)
The Blue Devils now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potts Camp for a non-league test on Saturday, August 24. Water Valley will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Biggersville (Corinth, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-1.
