In Friday's non-league game, the East Vikings (West Chester, PA) football team edged the host Academy Park Knights (Sharon Hill, PA), by a tally of 27-20.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 28. East will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 21-6 non-league win over Council Rock North (Newtown, PA).

The Knights now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Unionville for a non-league bout on Friday, August 29. Academy Park will encounter a Longhorns team coming off a 19-14 league loss to Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA). The Longhorns record now stands at 0-1.
