In Friday's non-league game, the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins (Glendale, AZ) football team triumphed over the visiting Arete Prep CHARGERS (Gilbert, AZ), by a margin of 49-0.

The Griffins now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Antelope for a 2A Metro 5 outing on Friday, August 29. Glendale Prep Academy will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 25-20 non-league win over Mountainside (Wittmann, AZ). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Arete Prep drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to ALA - Mesa North (Mesa, AZ) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league outing on Friday, August 29.
